Today was Constitution Day. We watched a video from School House Rocks about the constitution. We also read Penny and the Punctuation Bee and talked about adding ending punctuation to sentences. We continued having fun with our word work. We also are still working on our wish stories, but we are quickly finishing them. In math we starting talked about counting on to add. We practiced this using a number line. In science we talked about rain and the water cycle. We should be finishing our unit on weather tomorrow or Monday.

I was so happy to see that your class read my book, PENNY AND THE PUNCTUATION BEE. I hope that you enjoyed it. If you did, you might want to try ALFIE THE APOSTROPHE as well.
And remember to celebrate National Punctuation Day on thursday 9/24. You can find some fun ideas at http://punctuationplayground.blogspot.com!
Hi Ms. Donohue! We were so excited to see a comment from you on our blog. Our classroom has started Skyping and we were wondering if there was any chance you were as well. If you were, we thought it would be wonderful if we could skype with you one day and let you read Alfie the Apostrophe to us. Just let us know if this would be possible. Thanks so much!!
