Today we did Target Reading. In Target Reading, we are learning how to grow a pumpkin. We learned about adjectives and read Hairy, Scary, Ordinary – A Book About Adjectives. We also read Hello, Bumblebee Bat and looked for adjectives in the story. We are still working on our scary stories since Mrs. Saccoccio was out all last week, but we are almost finished. We got to go outside for recess since it was such a beautiful day. In math we learned about missing addends like 18 – ? = 9 and we had to figure out what went in the blank. We also are starting our unit on matter in science.

Hey Mrs. Saccoccio. I have a blog that we use at the end of the year but I’m wondering how you get your second graders to write so eloquently. I couldn’t find your e-mail address on here to e-mail you but I would love to talk to you about what you are doing here and possibly start this myself.
