Today in math we talked about faces, vertices, and edges on three dimensional shapes.  We made cubes, pyramids, and rectangular prisms using toothpicks and marshmellows.  The marshmellows were the vertices and the toothpicks were the edges.  It was a lot of fun.  For writing we wrote a how-to on how to make a three dimensional shape using toothpicks and marshmellows.  [...]

Today in math we learned about writing numbers in expanded form.  We also made bunny glyphs.  In writing, we read The Easter Egg Farm.  Then we designed our own Easter eggs and began writing a story about them. 
Remember to bring your Easter eggs tomorrow and dress nicely for our spring pictures.
